We were recently contacted by a colleague from our days at Wreckers International. Chris Sawyer asked if we could help with the supply of some chains to help a charity his wife was volunteering for who supply containers to Africa, which then become library’s, the last container delivery was a little hair raising to say the least, ropes tied to to trees etc hmmmm!!!! We today received a nice thank you…
Chris has giving me the very great news yesterday while he handed over and demonstrated the use of the wonderfully strong chains you have so kindly donated.
I am not sure if Chris told you but we build libraries in Kenya. In 2015 we tied the container to a tree while the lorry drove away, thus dropping the container to the floor. While doing that our chains broke. In 2016 we used front loader to pull the container off and had to buy 6 pairs of chains as they kept breaking on us.
This year we decided to buy chains in the UK, but never really realised there is so much to think about. And that good quality chains are pretty expensive too. So, I just wanted you to know how very grateful we are to you for your very kind donation. We will cherish those chains and think of you every time we need to use them.
